Lets be honest, to be out of work is tough. I have been out of work for 6 months then
another 3 months after. I worked night and day to find a good job, and yes I took jobs that were “beneath me” to get my foot in the door, a promotion did not ensue, but I was hopeful.
So, if you take side jobs then you can not get the unemployment. So there is a bit of a catch 22 there. It is fine to look for something that is the right fit, okay. But IF you are looking after 6 month-18 months or more then give me a break and do something. If you are so bad you are living in your car then my heart goes out to you, honest! I dont want anyone to go through that.
But most people, including a friends sibling has not found anything yet. He says to me “Well, I can not find anything that will pay more than unemployment.” But I am thinking, “How much does pride cost?”
Don’t think that I am insensitive. I have seen stats (Google it yourself!) that show that people 80% of the time miraculously find employment a week before benefits run out.. You tell me, is that a coincidence?? HEck no! Here is a quote from a Dem that is just so rich it pulls my heart strings: ——-
“I think it’s a sad moment,” said Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Fla.) after the vote. “It appalls me that the Republicans keep pitching and pitching and pitching the tax cuts for the rich and won’t join in a bill to help people keep their homes and not have to live in their cars.”
Haha! These dems have almost no self respect, do they? So, to put his statement another way, Republicans want to let rich people keep all of their EVIL money and don’t car that poeple are living in their cars…! PErposterous, I am a Conservative usually and not a Republican exactly. I feel terrible about people in their cars and their children more. But if you are living in your car you should maybe living in a shelter, and be on welfare. Man, get to a church! There are Christian churches all across the land that will adopt you! Give it a try.
Any thoughts out there?? Let us know!
